first assignment

Writing our first assignment was a little hard at first. First, I had to pick a newspaper, magazine or any publication that has a letter to the editor section. I don’t do much of reading on my free time, so I just picked a random newspaper, “The View”, and looked if it had a dear editor section. It did and so I read about what the people who were writing to “The View” about. On that day, all the people were talking about the new health care reform. The next day, I went back and bought another issue. All those who wrote to the “The View” had again written about the new health care. The next, I picked another issue and the topic was the same. I had figured out what I was going to write about but still didn’t know it was going to be written. On the following class day, the teacher talked about how we were going to write it. I was still a little unsure, but as more and more students began to talk about what they had picked and the teacher would gave example of possible way to write the letter. Now I new how to write the letter and what to write the letter about, so I just followed the guidelines that the newspaper had stated in order for ones letter to be included in the dear editor section. I had some idea of what I was going to include in the letter and had some examples to help out in case I needed help. Before long I had written my dear editor letter.
